Man United teases Harry Maguire, Brendan Rodgers is not worried

DBasia.news – Manchester United’s performance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is great. Playing 16 games in all competitions, Man United have only lost once against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Although it has begun to be consistent, this does not necessarily make club management not plan to increase the strength of its squad in the 2019 summer transfer market, one of the names still on the shopping list is Harry Maguire who is now defending Leicester City.
As is known, the British player had indeed long been included in United’s transfer plan, even when they were still trained by Jose Mourinho. However, until the last day the transfer market had only three names that came close, namely Fred, Diogo Dalot, and Lee Grant.
Failing to leave for Old Trafford made Maguire add to his tenure until 2023, but this did not necessarily make Manchester United give up. But it seems this does not make the Foxes manager, Brendan Rodgers, worried at all.
“Yes, maybe Manchester United will come back and express interest in recruiting Harry Maguire, but that doesn’t make me worry at all,” Rodgers said as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“You must always be ready to face a moment like this when you are in a club. But the thing that I now think about is the team as a whole. I and the players will try to do the best for this club,” the former Liverpool manager added.
Harry Maguire is not the only player who was included in the club’s transfer plan that owns 20 Premier League titles, besides himself, United are also reportedly interested in bringing Juventus defender Joao Cancelo.
