Manchester City has been dull in away games

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester City were only able to draw 0-0 at Manchester United. This again proves that something is wrong with City, especially when they are away from home.

City actually started to climb again after winning their last two games in the Premier League, namely 5-0 over Burnley and 2-0 against Fulham. That has not included the duel against Marseille in the last Champions League.

While Manchester United’s opponent in Week 11 of the Premier League has declined at home, there is a big chance for City to win three points and move up the standings.

Although not strengthened by Sergio Aguero, City can still rely on Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, and Bernardo Silva in the attack line, Sunday (11/13/2020) am.

However, throughout the 90 minutes, City were unable to really threaten David de Gea’s goal. They even struggled to create clean opportunities as ESPN recorded only two shots on goal made by City.

Until the match was complete, the 0-0 score remained. The spotlight returned to City, who continued to failed to score a goal away from home. This is the second time in a row they have been unable to break into the opponent’s goal, after previously being defeated 0-2 by Tottenham Hotspur.

For the first time City has experienced this since January 2017. In more detail, City have gone 242 minutes without a goal in an away game, the longest period in the Pep Guardiola era.

Manchester City’s last away goal? Kyle Walker in the 28th minute when breaking into the Sheffield United goal at Bramall Lane on October 30 or almost 1.5 months ago.

“We created a lot of chances, look how they beat us last season, beat West Ham after being 0-1 down, United can play well because they are a quality team,” said Guardiola on BBC Sport.

“The important thing is we don’t concede. We have enough chances but it is a tight match. Respect for both teams. We have to be a little sharper in attack,” he continued.
