Manchester United are now More Confident than in Previous Seasons

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United left back, Luke Shaw thinks his team is more confident now than in previous seasons.

“This is the most confident (we feel). Around the training ground and on the field today, the confidence is so high and we are now wading the game with complete confidence,” Shaw said as quoted by Sky Sports.

United stumbled since left by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013 is clearly visible, but the club seems to be reversing this bad tendency under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was the fourth manager in six seasons when he replaced Jose Mourinho in December 2018.

Last Saturday’s 5-2 big win over Bournemouth extended United’s unbeaten run to 16 matches in all competitions. Shaw, who joined the Red Devils in June 2014, said that this was the most exciting time he played for the club.

“During the past years, there has never been an exciting time and we have not always played as well as I think we have at the moment, especially in my time here,” he added.

“The big turning point was when we were 0-1 down (against Bournemouth) on another day. For some time we had trouble printing results, but I think there are indications that we are going in the right direction.”

“Of course we are thrilled with how things are going but there is definitely room for improvement that we all believe in.”

The Red Devils recruits players with great characters under the leadership of Solskjaer and this approach produced rewards when Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes emerged as Man United’s two most important field leaders at the moment.

Shaw believes that Solskjaer deserves praise for a culture reversal in a tense player locker room until the end of Mourinho’s coaching.

“The manager has performed a brilliant task. Of course the players he brought in, the current group of players, we are all really good and I think there is great happiness in and around the training ground every day,” he concluded
