Manchester United are ready to give Frenkie de Jong the highest salary

DBasia.news – Manchester United are ready to make midfielder Frenkie de Jong the highest-paid earner at Old Trafford if he wants to move from Barcelona in the transfer market this summer.

It is reported that the new Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag wants De Jong’s presence and makes him the club’s number one transfer target.

It is known that Erin ten Hag and Frenkie de Jong had worked together at Ajax Amsterdam from 2017 to 2019 and managed to win a Dutch League title and reached the semifinals of the 2018/19 Champions League season.

It is estimated that Manchester United are ready to pay De Jong 395,000 euros or around Rp. 6.1 billion per week or the equivalent of 24 million euros per year (about Rp. 376 billion).

This fee would exceed several other Manchester United star players such as David de Gea, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

This was done to convince de Jong to join Manchester United although some time ago he said he still wanted to play in the Champions League if he eventually left Barcelona.

This cannot be offered by Manchester United, who will compete in the Europa League next season because they finished sixth in the Premier League standings this season.
