Manchester United has a Good Home Record against Arsenal
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United will play Arsenal at Old Trafford in their next Premier League match. Their record is quite good at Old Trafford against the Gunners.
According to data from Opta, Man United has been unbeaten in their 13 home league games against Arsenal (eight wins and five draws). The last time United lost was in September 2006 with a score of 0-1.
When United scored at Old Trafford against Arsenal they were unbeaten in 29 league home games (21 wins and eight draws), the last time they scored was in November 1977.
However, United doesn’t need to be inferior in front of Arsenal because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s direction has not been great this season at home in the Premier League. United in three Premier League home games this season have drawn once and lost twice.
When later they fail to win again against Arsenal United, they will repeat their minor record in the 1972-1973 season. Arsenal has the capital to be optimistic as they won two of the last three Premier League matches against United (one draw).
“We have to see how we prepare for the match. Maybe that’s what we have to do to find a solution. The lockdown (corona virus) makes us do things very differently,” said Solskjaer commenting on the team’s poor performance at home.
“Then after the lockdown, we were at our respective homes and did not go through the usual routine when facing home games. I have to check how the players prepare themselves.”
The habit that has changed due to the corona virus and not staying at the hotel the day before the home game is Solskjaer’s reason for the poor performance of his team. However, recently they defeated Leipzig at home with a score of 5-0 in the Champions League.
The momentum of playing United and Arsenal will add to the fierceness of the competition when the two teams clash this weekend. Moreover, the positions of the two teams are still far from the top four so far.
