Manchester United Have No Competitors in the Hunt for Raphael Varane
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United’s chances of getting Raphael Varane are huge. The Red Devils at least have no strong competitors in the hunt for the defender belonging to Real Madrid.
Manchester United are looking for a new centre-back in the transfer market this summer. Varane was chosen as the main target after he sent a signal to leave Madrid.
The signal was shown by Varane by rejecting the offer of a contract extension from Los Blancos. In fact, the cooperation between the two parties only has one year remaining.
Manchester United responded to the situation quickly. The English giants promised Varane a bigger salary to move to Old Trafford.
Madrid initially set the price of Varane at 70 million euros. However, this value is considered by Manchester United to be too high for a player who only has one year remaining on his contract.
Manchester United do not value Varane’s highest price of only 55 million euros. They also feel they have the upper hand.
Madrid are indeed at a disadvantage in the Varane transfer saga. Los Blancos have no choice but to sell him rather than the player leaving for free next year.
Madrid’s efforts to increase Varane’s price are also difficult to realize. Apart from having only one year remaining on his contract, no other club has offered the former Lens player.
“Raphael Varane only wants MUFC. This club is special to him,” tweeted transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“There is no approach with other clubs.”
From the latest developments, Manchester United began to speed up negotiations with the Madrid camp. Varane is expected to officially move next week.
