Manchester United have two big problems

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Having just been knocked out of the FA Cup, Manchester United will return to fight in the Premier League, Wednesday (9/2) morning WIB. The Red Devils will travel to Burnley’s headquarters.

Ahead of the duel, United manager Ralf Rangnick revealed that currently there are two main issues that must be addressed to achieve victory.

Referring to the failure in the FA Cup after being eliminated by Middlesbrough, Rangnick thought his squad should be more accurate in finishing. He stated that United wasted too many chances.

“There are two points we all have to deal with. First, we missed too many clear chances, 22 shots in the box, 10 golden opportunities, and we should have easily gone 3-0 up in the first half. It should have been 6-1 or 6-2 at the end of the game,” Rangnick told United’s official website.

“I can’t remember a game in recent years when our team created more shots. In total, we had 30 shots and 22 of them were from outside the box.”

“In the end, it didn’t obtain the result we wanted. I think we played well in creating those chances.”

As for the second homework, Rangnick said that the coordination of the defense line was still weak, which he considered was often careless.

Manchester United’s attack line deserves to be in the spotlight. In the Premier League this season, Manchester United were the team with the lowest goal productivity among the top five teams.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his team mates have only scored 36 goals from 22 matches. They were even less productive than West Ham who recorded 41 goals.

United were also one of the worst of the top 10 teams. The Red Devils have conceded 30 goals. They were just better than West Ham and Leicester City.
