By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United are reportedly interested in Benfica spearhead Darwin Nunez. The Red Devils are ready to compete with other teams who are also interested.

Darwin Nunez’s ability as a striker shot sharply this season. After scoring 14 goals in 44 games last season, this season Nunez has scored 31 goals in just 36 matches.

Not surprisingly, a number of clubs began to monitor Darwin Nunez. Moreover, the age of the player from Uruguay is only 22 years old. Nunez is believed to still have a lot of room to develop.

Transfer market champion, Fabrizio Romano, reports Benfica is willing to sell Nunez next summer. Benfica assesses, now is the right time to get a lot of money from the sale of Nunez.

Benfica priced Nunez for 80 million euros. This value is far below the striker’s release clause which is rumored to reach 150 million euros.

Romano explained, Manchester United have discussed the name Darwin Nunez as a target next summer. However, the Red Devils still need to finalize a strategy in the transfer market while waiting for who will become the permanent coach.

In addition, Arsenal and West Ham United have already hunted Nunez. Both clubs made offers in the middle of this season. However, at that time Benfica had no intention of selling Nunez.

Before he was brilliant with Benfica, Darwin Nunez strengthened the Spanish club, UD Almeria. Almeria is the team that brought Nunez from Penarol in 2019. Currently, Nunez is still under contract until 2025.
