Manchester United Need Harry Kane If They Want to Win the Title

DBasia.news – The arrival of Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho does not make Manchester United the favorite to win the Premier League title in 2021-2022. The Red Devils are believed to still need Harry Kane to compete with his rivals.
This view was conveyed by former Manchester United player, Gary Neville. The transfer activities of Manchester City and Chelsea became the basis of his thinking.
The arrival of Varane and Sancho patched up two lines that were Manchester United’s weak points last season. Sector right wing and center back is considered not as strong as other lines.
But Neville sees Manchester United also has other weaknesses that must be addressed. What is meant is, of course, not having a sharp attacker who regularly scores goals in every game.
This problem was also faced by Manchester City and Chelsea throughout last season. But both clubs have fixed it.
“Chelsea got stronger with Lukaku, Man City signed Grealish and if they get Kane there’s a big problem for Man Utd,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“I don’t know why Man Utd didn’t take that extra step in this transfer window to get Kane. They have historically been chasing the best English players in the Premier League.”
Manchester United have been linked with Kane. But the Old Trafford camp later abandoned its intention and chose to extend the contract of Edinson Cavani.
The problem is that Cavani, who is not young anymore, is prone to injury. This makes him unreliable in every game.
In the end, Manchester United had to rely on the figure of Bruno Fernandes to score goals. Even though his position is an attacking midfielder.
“If Harry Kane comes in, Man Utd will get 94 to 95 points, (and) they still have the backs in Cavani and Martial. I don’t know if they can win the league with Sancho and Varane.”
“There is a big hope to win a trophy, to be number one. They have to challenge for the title. The manager has to improve things quickly.
“Ole has brought Man Utd back to their roots, but they need a centre-forward in the next 12 months. Kane’s entry will make the difference.”
