Manchester United Players Are Not Special

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Harry Redknapp, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, said that Manchester United’s players were just like any other team in England.

Manchester United want to improve their position compared to last season. The Red Devils appointed Erik ten Hag as the new skipper. The hope is that the Dutch manager will bring Man United to the right track.

Manchester United also started to bring in new players. The three names that have joined are Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriken, and Lisandro Martinez.

However, according to Redknapp, the Manchester United squad still needs a lot of improvement as at this time the quality is still ordinary.

“Manchester United lack good players. Just look at the Man United squad, they very ordinary,” explained Harry Redknapp to the Mirror.

“At left-back, Luke Shaw is a really good player, but they failed to keep him fit last season,” continued Redknapp.

“To me, Manchester United looks like an average team. They lack quality in midfield. Man United lacks players who can make the ball flow more lively.”

“Without Ronaldo’s goal, I don’t know where they would have finished last season. The arrival of players would be key. They need to work.”

Meanwhile, regarding the transfer issue of Cristiano Ronaldo, Redknapp thinks Man United is better off letting him leave. Moreover, Ten Hag is considered not to like players who have big egos in the squad.

“Some coaches may not want big star players. They are happier managing a team without ego. Ronaldo is one of the greatest in football,” said Redknapp.

“Perhaps, Ten Hag feels more comfortable without Ronaldo. Because he doesn’t come from a big background. Ten Hag comes from Ajax and has not proven to be at the top level.”
