Manchester United Raise Bruno Fernandes’ Salary Twofold

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Speculation about the extension of Bruno Fernandes’ contract has found a bright spot. It is rumored that Fernandes will soon sign a new contract with Manchester United.

Although his contract still has four years remaining, United are reportedly very satisfied with Fernandes’ outstanding performance during the 18 months since joining from Sporting Lisbon.

Reported by the Mirror, in the new agreement, the Red Devils will provide a salary double the salary it received last. Fernandes is said to be close to agreeing a new contract with a salary of 200,000 pounds per week.

The Portuguese midfielder is Man United’s top scorer this season with 28 goals in all competitions. Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinto, reportedly flew to Manchester at the start of last week and wants the deal to be done before Euro 2020.

Previously, Fernandes did not want to discuss a contract with MU and revealed his priority was to win a trophy.

“My priority today is to win trophies. Collective trophies are more important than individual titles and we are working on that here,” said Fernandes. “I think the club has grown a lot since I arrived here.”

On that occasion Fernandes gave a signal that he was happy to be part of the rise of MU.

“I feel part of it and I’m here to help the club develop.”
