Manchester United Reportedly Recruiting Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Based on British media, Mirror, the club dubbed the Red Devils have made an agreement with Barcelona about the possibility of recruiting midfielder Ivan Rakitic on Sunday (10/13).
The Croatian player has rarely been played by coach Valverde this season, he only played 186 minutes and only once started.
United are known to be interested in bringing Rakitic in the summer transfer window, but coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to add to his midfield.
According to Sport, the Red Devils have contacted Barcelona related to Rakitic and will open initial negotiations with the Catalonian club.
It was reported that Barcelona is now willing to part with the 31-year-old midfielder in the January transfer window and want at least £ 34 million.
Rakitic admitted earlier this week that he could have left the Blaugrana to get regular playing time if the current situation did not improve.
“It’s difficult because I want to play and not just be part of the team,” he said.
“I will do everything that can be done to change my situation.”
Unfortunately, United are not the only team that is eyeing the all-round midfielder.
Italian giants Inter Milan have also contacted Barca to try to convince Rakitic to leave Spain.
