DBasia.news – Manchester United won their fourth victory in the 2019-20 preseason. Latest, the Red Devils defeated Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, with a score of 2-1 in Shanghai, China, Thursday (25/7) night Western Indonesian Time.
In the previous three matches, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men also packed victories against Perth Glory, Leeds United and Inter Milan.
In the game against Spurs, the Red Devils took the lead through Anthony Martial in the 21st minute. Tottenham leveled the score thanks to goals from Lucas Moura in the 65th minute. Man Utd’s victory was ensured after Angel Gomes broke Hotspur’s goal, ten minutes before the fight was over.
From victory over Tottenham, several things float to the surface. One of them is the great potential of their attack line. From the match, United showed they had three weapons that could be troublesome for next season’s opponents.
The first weapon is Martial. From the start, Solskjaer did give great trust to the French striker. The manager believes Martial can still develop.
“Anthony can be a top striker in the world,” Solskjaer told United’s official website.
“Anthony performed very well when he came. I hope we will see Anthony better next season.”
Solksjaer does have a plan for Martial. He wanted to make Martial a central attacker (position number 9). And, in the match against Spurs, Martial proved himself capable of playing that role well.
United’s second weapon seen in the match against Spurs in Daniel James. In the match, the former Swansea player always troubled the Spurs defense through his speed.
Whereas the third weapon is Angel Gomes. This 18-year-old player shows his talent. A talent that makes it worthy of being in United’s first team.
