Manchester United unable to sign Youri Tielemans

DBasia.news – Manchester United are one of the teams interested in signing Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans. However, according to former Red Devils player Paul Parker, Tielemans is not the player needed.

In the last week there has been rumors that Manchester United are participating in the hunt for Tielemans. The Red Devils are competing with Liverpool and Arsenal.

Reportedly, Tielemans is projected as a replacement for Paul Pogba who has never signed a new contract. The value of the Belgian player is estimated at around €50 million.

However, the plan is considered to be a mistake by Paul Parker. According to him, Tielemans is not at the level to play at Manchester United.

“Truthfully, Tielemans is inconsistent. He scored a number of beautiful goals. However, he has not really grabbed my attention,” explained Parker as reported by the Mirror.

“When Leicester are playing well, he comes along. But when Leicester need him like they do now, he just doesn’t show up. That’s what worries me,” he added.

Parker believes, Man United need to think carefully before bringing in a new midfielder as the new ammunition must complement the Red Devils.

“Manchester United need more than that. Man United need more than just an ordinary midfielder. If Man United want to sign a star midfielder, they should ask themselves who can complete it. The players have to say the same thing.”
