Manchester United Win Bigger Salaries than Liverpool

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The salaries of professional players in Europe are always in the spotlight when they leak out to the public. Fans often compare the salary received by players with their contribution when competing.

Examples such as comparing Manchester United and Liverpool, the two biggest and traditional English teams that are in fact bitter rivals. The shift in power between the two teams had occurred when United was left by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013 and Liverpool under the care of Jurgen Klopp in 2015.

Man United is no longer the same as in the past and Liverpool is now one of the best teams in the world. Five years training the Reds, Klopp developed Liverpool with a strong, quality, and balanced squad in each of his lines.

That evidence has been tested through the Champions League, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup titles. Even in the 2019-20 season, they are strong candidates for the Premier League title because they haven’t lost so far until week 21. Liverpool has the opportunity to end the Premier League title wait since 1990 (still in Division One format).

Judging by the appearance of the two teams on the playing field, the two are indeed 180 degrees different: Liverpool is consistent and looks great, while Manchester United is inconsistent under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, uniquely, the salary difference between the two teams is quite lame.

Seeing Sportac regarding the salary comparison of the two players, which is calculated from a week’s income, the salaries of the Man United players are far greater than Liverpool.

Take for example Juan Mata or Nemanja Matic who rarely played this season. Both received 160,000 pounds and 120,000 pounds, or around Rp2 billion per week. Salary Eye or Matic has exceeded four Liverpool players at once.

The four Liverpool players are Trent Alexander-Arnold (£ 40,000), Andrew Robertson (£ 50,000), Alisson (£ 90,000), and Sadio Mane (£ 100,000).

The salary can only be passed by three Liverpool players: Mohamed Salah (200,000 pounds), Roberto Firmino (180,000 pounds), and Virgil van Dijk (180,000 pounds).

Not to mention Ashley Young with a salary of 120,000 pounds per week and a performance that is not as good as two full-backs Liverpool: Robertson and Alexander-Arnold.

The salary comparison can already be a benchmark of how the quality or appearance of players is not measured by the amount of salary, but their performance when competing. Liverpool receives a smaller salary but provides premium quality.

In contrast, at Man United, the players failed to compensate for the large salary the club provided. No doubt by their citizens often referred to as a commercial team today compared to football clubs who excel in the field.

“Right now, everything that happens and comes to mind is a shocking manager. The stories that emerge are also hard to believe,” former Man United player Paul Parker told the Daily Express.

“This is a difficult world for everyone. It’s quite difficult to be a former club player, and if you play for the club and you enjoy your time, you have feelings for the club.”

“You might not support them, but you at least want them to act properly, and you don’t want them to be discriminated against (again).”

“At this time, United are discriminated against, from the side of the ball and also the business side. This is Manchester United, no longer Manchester United FC. That used to be a football club. Not a business, it’s a football club on the one hand for the people of Manchester, even now has been snatched away from them.”

Ironically, the players come to Old Trafford to get a big salary there, not to try to exert everything and excel. This was said by former United captain, Bryan Robson.

“Everyone knows the salary scale currently demanded by top players. And, in this regard, United have created their own problems in terms of the money they are paying now,” Robson said, quoted by Sky Sports.
