Manchester United’s firm action towards Cristiano Ronaldo

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The Red Devils have run out of patience regarding the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo on the 2022-2023 pre-season tour.

As reported by Jamie Jackson in The Guardian, Man United are firm and will clarify Ronaldo’s position to the player in question, when he will follow the Man United pre-season under Erik ten Hag.

The reason is, Ronaldo has been absent for almost a month without training with the Man United squad, which incidentally is adapting to the style of play that Erik ten Hag is trying to apply. The reason? Ronaldo mentioned a family matter.

Man United are still patient and respectful of Ronaldo as to not bother with his business, while the Man United squad undergo a pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia against Liverpool, Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

Even Ten Hag didn’t communicate with him at all. But now the situation has changed, ahead of the first kick-off in the 2022-2023 Premier League against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford in early August, Ronaldo is expected to join soon.

Man United have also ended their pre-season tour in Asia and returned to Europe, then on Monday (25/07) rested a day after a long journey. In Europe, Man United will play their last two pre-season games against Atletico Madrid (30/07) and Rayo Vallecano (31/07).

No doubt in the last two games, it was hoped that Ronaldo would have strengthened Man United, along with two new recruits Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. Ten Hag wants to immediately involve Ronaldo in his playing plans because he does not want the superstar to leave.

If Ronaldo still doesn’t follow the team’s pre-season then he could potentially miss against Brighton. Especially in the 2022 summer transfer market, Ronaldo was rumored to leave following the news of his desire to leave as he considered the club to be unambitious.

However, it is not easy to realize even though he has a European super agent, Jorge Mendes. Ronaldo will be 38 years old, has a high salary, and it is not easy for a club to be willing to accommodate him other than PSG or an MLS club.
