DBasia.news – Italy national team coach, Roberto Mancini, was disappointed because his squad just played draw 1-1 in the friendly match against Ukraine.

The host led the game after Federico Bernardeschi scored the goal to Andriy Pyatov’s net at 55′. But 7 minutes later, Ukraine replied from the volley kick of Ruslan Malinovskiy, that couldn’t be anticipated by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The result made Italy failed to reach the victory in five recent matches. In fact, Azzurri dominated the match that could be seen from the statistic whereas they had 20 possibilities, and 7 of them met the target. Compare it to Ukraine who just had 12 possibilities with 6 shots on target.

“We have to be more incisive when many chances are created, you have to score goals. The positive thing is that overall the team played good football for long spells,” Mancini told Rai Sport, quoted by Football Italia.

“We have to improve that aspect and continue along this path,” he said.

After the friendly match, Italy have to set their focus to the upcoming match against Poland in the UEFA Nations League. The duel would be conducted at Slaski Stadium, Chorzow.
