DBasia.news –  AS Roma’s young midfielder, Manuele Giugliano, wants to develop or maximize his potential in Rome. Giugliano is getting more confident after playing well at this year’s World Cup.

Giugliano was a key player for Italy when the team reached the World Cup quarter-finals, a surprise that confirmed the quality – and potential – of women’s football in Italy.

Giugliano then decided to join Roma Women from AC Milan and revealed that it was this ambition and infrastructure project that attracted him to the Italian capital.

“I chose Roma because I think this is a club that can help me a lot, which will enable me to develop year after year,” Giugliano told Roma TV.

“The club believes in women’s soccer and the development of young players. This is a long-term project and I’m happy to be here.”

Judging from his experience in France this summer, Giugliano admitted that he had a profound impact.

The 21-year-old plays almost every minute for the Azzurre, controlling the game from midfield for Milena Bertolini’s squad.

In addition to highlighting the quality of women’s soccer in Italy, the appearance at the World Cup also floats Giugliano as one of the brightest young talents.

“The World Cup certainly left a big impression on me, in many ways,” he said.

“I developed a lot, both as a person and as a player. Playing at the World Cup is a unique experience for me because I think it is the dream of every child who plays soccer.

“I use the preseason to get a better understanding of my strengths and strength of the squad. The World Cup is an important moment for us. We just need to continue to grow and achieve professionalism – because that is something that is still lacking in women’s football until now. ”

Wearing the number 10 costume this season, Giugliano has been able to play many roles in midfield – but in the beginning, he might be assigned to show creativity in the final third of the enemy’s playing field.

“I see myself as a game organizer, but I always hold that a soccer player must be flexible and can play in many roles, as well as in many formations,” he said.

“So I’m here available for the coach in whatever role he wants to give.”
