Marcelino entered the list of prospective Arsenal coaches, in addition to Patrick Vieira, Mikel Arteta, Massimiliano Allegri, and Mauricio Pochettino.
Emery was sacked by Arsenal on November 29 after a poor seven-game win that never left Arsenal in danger of failing to appear in the Champions League next season.

He led Valencia to finish in the top four and to the Champions League for two seasons with the club. in addition to offering the Copa del Rey title which is the club’s first trophy in the last ten years.
Marcelino is reportedly continuing to observe Arsenal this season by believing the club is strong in attack but unbalanced in teams.
According to ESPN sources, he and his coaching team are ready to take part in the Premier League and will accept any offer there.
