Marco Giampaolo’s Comments on the Match Between AC Milan vs Hellas Verona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Marco Giampaolo still demands an improvement from AC Milan after a narrow 1-0 victory over Serie A promotion team, Hellas Verona.
AC Milan were only slightly superior when facing Verona. In fact, Krzysztof Piatek and his mates have superior numbers of players since the 21st minute.
Throughout the match, Milan fired 17 shots. However, of that amount, only four led to the goal. In fact, Rossoneri’s goal was not born of a tactical process but a penalty kick.
“I will not hide the problems we are experiencing. I am fully aware that we need to improve ourselves and there are problems that must be resolved,” Giampaolo explained, as reported by Sky Sport.
“I don’t want to improvise. I want AC Milan to have a plan to work on and some certainty to build a team.”
Giampaolo feels that he currently has a squad with more than enough quality. “There are lots of players around and my job is to make them according to the team’s plan,” stated Giampaolo.
“We have to be honest. I don’t want to hide the problem. The players have become accustomed individually. My job is to make them work collectively. We have to hone the ability of the front lines,” he added.
An additional three points has made Milan move up to seventh place in the 2019-2020 Serie A standings. Afterwards, Il Diavolo Rosso will face a challenging match against the top standings, Inter Milan, Sunday (9/22) AM.
