Marco Materazzi’s comments about Milan Skriniar

Inter Milan are in danger of losing Milan Skriniar. The defender from Slovakia was reluctant to extend his contract which will expire this season.

In fact, Inter have tried to keep Skriniar. La Beneamata raised the salary offer to 6 million euros per season plus bonuses. However, this amount is not enough for Skriniar, who wants a salary of 8 million euros per season.

Apart from that, Skriniar was also tempted by the higher salary offered by Paris Saint-Germain. Les Parisiens paid 9 million euros per season plus a 2 million euro bonus to convince Skriniar to leave.

The former Sampdoria has also confirmed that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with PSG. Now, it’s only a matter of time whether Skriniar would head to PSG in the middle or end of the season.

Responding to this, Materazzi regretted the choice Skriniar had made. For him, his love for Inter Milan is second to none.

“No one doubts his professionalism, he will give 100% to the end,” said Materazzi, as reported by DAZN.

“However, remember, you will not find love from San Siro and 80,000 Inter supporters anywhere else,” continued the 2006 World Cup winner.

Inter Milan has brought in Skriniar from Sampdoria since 2017. So far, Skriniar has scored 11 goals and five assists in various competitions. He also brought Inter to win four titles, including the Scudetto trophy.
