Marseille Wants to Sign Alberto Moreno

Olympique Marseille are rumored ready to sign the former Sevilla player during the upcoming winter transfer market.

Marseille Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarreta admits that he is ready to compete with Sevilla to get Moreno’s signature in the winter transfer market. He thinks Sevilla are interested to bring home Moreno to Andalucia.

“I know him very well from his time at Sevilla. Normally, it’s not our market (January), though there may be circumstances that open up possibilities,” Zubizarreta said.

This season, Moreno just collected three caps with The Reds. In recent seasons, the 26-year-old player often gets harsh critics due to his incompetent defense.

The 26-year-old player was recruited from Sevilla in 2014. To sign him, Liverpool would pay £16M. During his four-year period at Anfield, he has collected 139 caps and scored three goals with 11 assists of all competitions.
