Mauricio Pochettino Discusses the Winter Transfer Market
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, admitted that he has not thought about the winter transfer market (January 2020).
Currently, Tottenham are in a crisis after failing to score a single win from their last three matches. On Saturday (10/20) they then continued to fail to win when entertaining the caretaker team, Watford.
“It’s not time yet to talk about strategies in the transfer market. “When the time is right, we will only make a decision whether to bring in new players or not,” Mauricio Pochettino stated.
“January is still too far away to talk about. In addition, we also still have to go through quite a lot of heavy competition. I left it to the club officials. At the moment, I’m satisfied with the squad, “added Pochettino.
In the transfer market, Tottenham is known as a club that does not bring in new players too often. In the last two seasons, The Lilywhites even only brought in three new names. Namely Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, and Ryan Sessegnon.
However, the presence of the three new players has failed to make Tottenham and Pochettino talk a lot from eight Premier League matches this season. Moreover, Lo Celso and Sessegnon struggled more in the treatment room than on the field.
