DBasia.news – Paris Saint-Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino, commented on the match between his team and Lens. Pochettino reminded PSG not to underestimate the strength of their opponents even though Les Parisiens are on the verge of winning.
Paris Saint-Germain will play an important match in the 34th journee of Ligue 1 as they are scheduled to host Lens at the Parc des Princes, Sunday (24/4).
As for the reason why this match is very important for PSG, if they are able to win or at least draw a draw, then Kylian Mbappe and his team mates will certainly become champions of the French League 2021/22 season or become the 10th trophy in the club’s history.
On paper, PSG should have no difficulty subverting Lens. But Mauricio Pochettino reminded his troops not to underestimate their opponent.
“We have a lot of respect for Lens. They are a solid team in terms of performance. They have good players and a great coach,” Pochettino said as quoted by PSG’s official website.
“We expect a tough game. To win the game and the title, we will need a good team performance. They have real physical and technical qualities to cause problems for their opponents.”
If PSG in this match can confirm the Ligue 1 title, Pochettino admits that he wants to celebrate with the Les Parisiens fans. Pochettino wants PSG supporters to temporarily forget about the deteriorating relationship with the club’s directors.
“You have to put value on the title. When you don’t win it, it’s a big problem. So when you win it, you can’t underestimate it,” he continued.
“This title is important for us personally, for the club and for the fans. We hope they will celebrate with us.”
“We hope to have a pleasant atmosphere during matches and celebrations. Their criticism must still be heard, the fans are an important part of the club,” he concluded.
