DBasia.news –  Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea manager, revealed that Gonzalo Higuain was still struggling to adapt in the Premier League. Higuain said it directly to Sarri.

Gonzalo Higuain joined Chelsea in the 2019 winter transfer market. Higuain came on loan from Juventus.

Even so, Gonzalo Higuain has not shown the best performance with Chelsea. Of the 10 matches, the 31-year-old player has only collected three goals.

Gonzalo Higuain is often regarded as one of the best attackers in the world. Apparently, Higuain had difficulty adapting in England.

Maurizio Sarri himself admitted that. The Italian coach assesses, the goalkeeper or attacker will have difficulty adapting in the Premier League from Serie A.

“Gonzalo Higuain said to me, he felt difficulties in the Premier League. According to him, here physical contact with the opposing defender is very strong,” Maurizio Sarri said.

“In addition, the referee here is also very different than in Italy. This is a very different football for Gonzalo Higuain.”

“In my opinion, especially for attackers and goalkeepers, the Premier League is very different compared to Serie A. Gonzalo Higuain needs time,” added Maurizio Sarri.

Before strengthening Chelsea, Gonzalo Higuain had time to defend top clubs. These include Real Madrid, Juventus, and AC Milan.
