Maurizio Sarri Call Chelsea’s Defense was Open When playing Eden Hazard

DBasia.news –  Chelsea, in the era of Maurizio Sarri, experienced ups and downs in performance. Had an inconsistency to play, the Blues were finally able to win the Europa League and penetrate the Champions League zone.

Unfortunately, a series of achievements made by Sarri did not necessarily make his future at Stamford Bridge safe. Although still under contract until 2021, Sarri finally decided to return to Italy and become a successor to Massimiliano Allegri and Juventus.

Sarri’s arrival at Chelsea not only made him succeed in presenting the trophy, but some players also succeeded in exploring their potential, the most obvious example being Eden Hazard whom last season scored 21 goals and 16 assists in all competitions.

Even though Hazard performed consistently, this did not necessarily make the former Lille player escape mistakes. Sarri revealed that the Belgian player was the source of the problem of the poor performances shown by the team’s back line.

“In the past few years I have used a 4-3-3 formation, but at Chelsea, it feels very different from Napoli,” Sarri said as quoted by Goal.

“We have to accommodate Hazard’s characteristics because he is the type of player who can always change the course of the game, but his presence also causes problems in the back line that we must resolve,” added the former Napoli manager.

At present Sarri and Hazard are no longer part of Chelsea. If the Italian manager will immediately sign Juventus, Hazard has also officially left for Real Madrid with a transfer value estimated at 130 million euros after signing a contract for five seasons.
