Maurizio Sarri Discusses His Future at Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus lifted their suitcase in the last 16 of the 2019-20 Champions League. Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri believes he will still train next season.
Juventus were eliminated from the 2019-2020 Champions League after being defeated by Olympiqie Lyon in the last 16. Although the aggregate is 2-2, Lyon excels on away goals aggressiveness.
These results make Maurizio Sarri’s position even more threatened. Previously, Sarri was often rumored to be dismissed after Juve’s appearance was not convincing in Serie A. Sarri was considered not the right person to bring Juve to the championship path.
Nevertheless, Sarri remained calm. The former Napoli coach is confident that Juventus officials will see the whole season before making a decision.
“My words are not difficult to interpret. I do not think the directors from the top position will make decisions based on one match. They will evaluate the whole season,” Sarri said as reported by Football Italia.
Indeed, Juventus is not without a title this season. The Biaconeri won the Serie A title and are one point ahead of their closest competitor, Inter Milan.
These results serve as guidance for Sarri about his future. The Italian coach only focuses on giving the best for the rest of the contract.
“I find questions like this offensive. However, it does not lead to me, convincing the director. I have a contract. I will respect it and expect nothing,” said the coach.
