Maurizio Sarri Doesn’t Want Fabregas Leaving Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas

DBasia.news – Maurizio Sarri has been changing Chelsea’s tactic this season. The impact is positive. The Blues are in the top-four of Premier League, participating in Europa League 32-stage, and would play against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup semifinal match.

But, this season seems unfortunate for one of their star players, Cesc Fabregas. As we know, he often starts the match from the bench and just became the starter when the team played in the League Cup or Europa League.

The situation makes him rumored to leave. Moreover, his contract would end this season and he might be signed freely. Many predict that the former Arsenal player would leave in January.

Responding to this issue, the team manager Maurizio Sarri stated his hope that Fabregas would stay at Stamford Bridge.

“In this position, we have only two players, Jorginho and Fabregas, so for me, it would be really a problem without Cesc,” said Sarri cited by Goal.

“But for me, it’s very important and if Cesc will go I think that we need to buy another player, and it’s not easy because, technically, Cesc is a very important player. And I think that in the market it’s very difficult to find a player with his characteristics,” the 59-year-old tactician added.

The latest issue said that Chelsea are ready to end Fabregas’ contract and release him to AC Milan or AS Monaco soon. The player wants to leave to get more chance on the pitch.

As a matter of fact, this is not the first time Sarri asked Fabregas to stay. Moreover, the former Napoli manager also asked the club to renew his contract.

Fabregas is not the only player that might leave Chelsea. Some other names like Gary Cahill and Olivier Giroud could be signed freely at the end of this season.
