Max Allegri frustrated with the drama at Allianz

DBasia.news – Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus coach, emphasized that his team often failed when they are dealing with VAR.
Most recently, Juve were held to a 2-2 draw with Salernitana in the sixth Serie A giornata, Monday (12/9).
The hosts trailed by two first-half goals to Antonio Candreva (18′) and Krzysztof Piatek (45’+5) before equalizing through goals from Bremer (51′) and Leonardo Bonucci (90’+3).
Arkadiusz Milik appeared to have won the game dramatically in the 90’+4 minute through a header from a corner kick, but VAR disallowed the goal after the ball slightly hit Leonardo Bonucci, who was standing in an offside position.
In addition to Milik’s goal being disallowed, the striker was also given a second yellow card for his overzealous celebration. A clash between players also occurred which made Juan Cuadrado and Salernitana defender, Federico Fazio receive red cards. Allegri was also sent off following his role in the incident.
“I can’t give an interpretation because I’m not a referee, we have to accept the decision. I think the referee is good,” said Allegri in the post-match press conference session.
“I’d like to see a shot in front of goal where you can see [Antonio] Candreva in front of the ball during a corner. I wonder if there is a picture of where Candreva is,” said the 55-year-old tactician.
“Since the start of the season we have been a bit disadvantaged by VAR, we have to say this,” he added.
Juve have only won twice in the first seven games of the season across competitions. In the Serie A standings, the Old Lady is in eighth place with a collection of 10 points.
Nearby, Juventus will host Benfica in the second match of Group H at the same place, Thursday (15/9).
