DBasia.news – Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe, stressed that he was still thinking about the best decision regarding the proposed new contract. Mbappe does not want to be careless as there are quite a number of clubs who want to sign him.
Paris Saint-Germain are still trying to increase the duration of Kylian Mbappe’s contract. The French player has yet to make a decision as he doesn’t want to make a mistake. Mbappe refused to extend the contract, but some time later decided to leave.
“We are currently talking with the club to find a project. I am thinking about it because signing the contract will be a long-term commitment to Paris Saint-Germain,” said Mbappe, as reported by Telefoot.
“I am very happy here. I am always happy here,” continued the striker.
“The fans and the club have always helped me. I will always be grateful to Paris Saint-Germain,” added Mbappe.
Real Madrid is reportedly one of the teams interested in bringing Mbappe. However, the corona virus pandemic that hit El Real’s finances has made transfers difficult to materialize.
On the other hand, Liverpool also emerged as a candidate. Mbappe had time to praise Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
However, again, the price is an obstacle. With a one-year contract remaining, Mbappe’s official tag is predicted to be more than 100 million euros. In addition, the club must also provide Mbappe with a high salary.
Another hypothesis that is developing is that Mbappe and Neymar will stay at PSG and wait for Lionel Messi to join. Les Parisiens are trying to bring the Argentine player.
“I just want to think about what I want to do and where to play in the next few years. That’s what I think and have to make a choice immediately,” stated Mbappe.
“It’s not that I want to buy time, but I’m thinking about it. I don’t want to extend the contract and say a year later that I want to leave. If you want to extend the contract, that means staying.”
Meanwhile, PSG are confident that they can defend Kylian Mbappe. Leonardo as sporting director emphasized that the negotiations are going in a positive direction.
“We exchange news regularly and have a good outlook,” Leonardo told France Football.
