Mbappe has reportedly received money from Madrid

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Kylian Mbappe will not move to Los Blancos. However, it is reported that the French striker had received some of the bonus money from Real Madrid in December 2021, but now the money will be returned to the La Liga champions.

Mbappe is widely predicted to leave Paris Saint-Germain for the Los Blancos, and has reportedly agreed with the Spanish capital team.

But PSG issued the ‘ultimate weapon’ to turn the superstar away from Madrid’s temptations, by offering exorbitant salaries and huge bonuses. In the end, the 23-year-old striker agreed to extend his tenure at the Parc des Princes until 2025.

No doubt, Madrid was surprised by the decision, La Liga even vowed to sue PSG, for suspecting the contract that the Ligue 1 champions offered to Mbappe, branding it a “scandal”.

Now, a few days after the surprise announcement of Mbappe, there has been an update on his deal with Madrid.

El Debate journalist, Tomas Gonzalez-Martin revealed to Bernabeu Digital that Madrid had already paid Mbappe part of the signing on bonus in December 2021.

He said: “I’m not surprised by what happened this week. If you had asked me 15 days ago I would have said ‘yes’ because he [Mbappe] has more or less agreed with Real Madrid.”

“He has already received a €40 million ‘down payment’ in the form of a signing on premium last December. Everything was signed in pre-approval since last year when he was going to make this transfer.”

Gonzalez-Martin added that Mbappe was eventually tempted by the money PSG offered him.

He added: “Mbappe was given almost €300 million in extension bonuses and around €90 million net salary per year. In the end, he bowed down to money, which proves he is not looking for sporting success and he betrayed Real Madrid.”
