Memphis Depay is considered to be a good recruit when he comes to Barcelona

DBasia.news – The Dutch national team legend, Ronald de Boer thinks Memphis Depay will be a good recruit if he arrives in Barcelona. Depay is currently being linked with a move to Camp Nou in the upcoming transfer market.
Barcelona coach, Ronald Koeman has asked Barcelona management to pursue Depay’s move, but the Catalans’ financial position ruled a deal with Les Gones unattainable.
However, with Depay’s contract expiring in June 2021, Barcelona could try to approach the 26-year-old player again in the January transfer window.
“He is almost 100% (after injury). With his strength and technique, he can surprise you at any time,” De Boer said as quoted by Marca, Wednesday (11/11).
According to De Boer, if Depay thinks clearly, he can be a good player for Barcelona. For the twin brother of Dutch national team coach, Frank De Boer, Depay looks more like Luis Suarez than Antoine Griezmann.
“But he’s technically better off as a team player,” he added.
Koeman took charge of Barcelona in the summer and has had mixed results so far. De Boer thinks Koeman will remain with Barcelona
“I think he is still looking for the best role for Griezmann. I think the French player is not a striker, he has to play on the wing,” explained De Boer.
