Memphis Depay will head to Juventus

The 28-year-old player is still under contract with Barcelona until June 30, 2023. However, due to Barcelona’s financial crisis and also they have to register new players to LaLiga, their options are to sell or release players in the current squad.

Depay’s representative, Sebastien Ledure, as reported by Corriere dello Sport is currently working on finalizing his contract with Barcelona. After taking care of business, Depay will immediately join Juventus.

“Juventus want to quickly complete Memphis Depay’s deal. There is no interest from Tottenham (Hotspur), no opportunities for Turkish clubs,” said Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“Juve are leading the hunt and are discussing a two-year contract agreement with Memphis lawyers. Depay will only accept a contract termination with Barca when he is happy with the contract offer.”

A two-year contract with a salary of 5 million euros per season is being prepared by Juventus. Depay is also not recently linked with Juventus as in the past the club based at the Allianz Stadium had also targeted the former Manchester United player.
