Ter Stegen believes Messi will still defend the banner of Barcelona.

“Lionel Messi deserves to determine his future. The thing we can do is ask him to survive. Because he is a key player for us and has a very high level of play,” explained Ter Stegen.

“I am sure he is very happy to be in Barcelona and this city. I feel Messi is very difficult to move. I want Messi to stay. However, I can not decide. We will ask him to stay and I hope for that,” he continued.
