DBasia.news –  Arsenal eliminated Leeds United and advanced to round four of the FA Cup. Arsenal had difficulty in the match and according to team goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, Arsenal’s revival in the second half occurred because of Mikel Arteta’s pep talk.

Arsenal struggled to break into Leeds United’s goal in the FA Cup third-round match. Despite appearing at the Emirates, the Gunners actually lost in terms of the number of opportunities.

Luckily, Arsenal can score a goal when the second half runs 10 minutes. Reiss Nelson completed a quick counterattack that was built.

Arsenal did look better in the second half. Apparently, Arteta had a role behind the situation.

“In the second half, the coach said that if we didn’t win 50/50, we would lose this match. The players came out of there and the manager insisted we should run like a wolf and show the animal side within,” Martinez said as reported by the team’s official website.

“He was very angry, but that is what we needed. We could not fade after the victory against Manchester United,” said the goalkeeper.

“I think we played well in the first five minutes. However, we declined and that should not be possible, especially in home games.”

Arsenal will face Bournemouth in the fourth round match. The plan, the game will take place on Saturday (1/25).
