Milan changes owners, what is the fate of Botman and Origi’s transfer?

By db-admin

DBasia.news – AC Milan is just one step away from being acquired by Investcorp, ending the Elliott Management era, thus inviting questions regarding their mercato strategy, including Sven Botman and Divock Origi.

As a source at SempreMilan points out, a change of owner is expected at the end of the season given that the Rossoneri will change owners from Elliott to Investcorp.

A transaction of €1 billion or Rp. 16 trillion is likely to be completed, but it will not revolutionize the managerial nomenclature given that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will remain at the club.

The move was a wise choice aimed at renewing faith in a group of skilled executives who were able to relaunch the Serie A giants both on the pitch and on the international market thanks to clearing debt and returning to the Champions League.

However, the new owner seems willing to immediately provide an injection of fresh funds in the transfer market to give allenatore Stefano Pioli a more competitive squad that is ready to compete in the three competitions they will participate in next season.

Over the past few months, Maldini and Massara have attempted several transfer transactions such as a move to bring Botman and Origi to the San Siro next season, but the question is whether the situation will change due to a change of owner?

The answer is of course no, and on the other hand full confidence in the two top officials in the sporting and technical areas shouldn’t change plans to recruit Botman and Origi which Investscorp itself believes it would be a good purchase from an economic point of view.
