MU frustrated with other clubs purchasing targeted players

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Romelu Lukaku has recently been linked with a return to Inter Milan in the summer. ThomManchester United fans are quite frustrated with the club’s current situation in the summer transfer market. Instead of competing with rival teams for players, so far no new players have arrived.

Anyone linked to Man United from Jurrien Timber, Lisandro Martinez, Adrien Rabiot, Christian Eriksen and Frenkie de Jong is just a rumor. The latest news appears more often about De Jong playing at Barcelona.

Manchester United’s midfield does need additional players as that position has been left by Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, and Juan Mata. Currently there are only Fred, Scott McTominay, James Garner and Donny van de Beek in midfield while Bruno Fernandes as an attacking midfielder.

As an alternative, De Jong Man United is also targeting Rabiot, who is currently strengthening Juventus. The French midfielder’s contract expires in 2023 with the Bianconeri and is reportedly looking to leave the club.

Rabiot, 27, made 45 appearances for Juventus last season under Massimiliano Allegri, but his best form was not seen and he was widely criticized by fans. Rabiot has defended Juventus since 2019 after leaving PSG.

Man United are aware of the situation and see Rabiot as the right player to add strength to Erik ten Hag’s team. But the situation has now changed as Man United is not the only team that is after him.

Quoted from Tuttosport, Chelsea are also interested in Rabiot. It is even reported that Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has contacted Rabiot to assess his potential to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Juventus did not hold back Rabiot’s departure and valued him at 20 million euros plus bonuses. With the fact that Rabiot wants to play in the Champions League, the hopes of signing him for Man United are more unlikely as they will only play in the Europa League next season.
