MU is considered to need four Bruno Fernandes to be able to compete in all competitions

DBasia.news – Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha said he needed four players like Bruno Fernandes. Saha believes, to be able to compete in the trophy hunt, Man United must spend more money to be able to bring in players.
Until now, United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spent more than 200 million pounds or around Rp.3.7 trillion to bring in new players. It was noted that Man United had brought in Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fernandes, and Donny van de Beek.
However, the large funds spent have not resulted in any real success in the form of trophies. The Red Devils still has trouble playing consistently and are behind Liverpool and Manchester City.
United’s inconsistent performance continued at the start of the 2020-21 season. It is proven that they are currently slumped in 14th place in the Premier League standings. In seven matches in the Premier League, Solskjaer’s troops have only recorded three wins.
The 3-1 win over Everton at the weekend took the pressure off Solskjaer ahead of the international break. In that match, Bruno Fernandes became a star by scoring two goals before providing the assist for Edinson Cavani’s first goal at Manchester United.
Since being purchased from Sporting for 55 million euros, the Portuguese midfielder has quickly established himself as a player. Fernandes has now recorded 18 goals and 13 assists in 33 matches with the Red Devils.
However, Louis Saha thinks that his former club still lacks players who have the mentality of Fernandes.
“The focus is on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer,” Saha said as quoted by Goal. “However, you also have to look from the side of signing players. Some new players, you can see the quality but it makes no difference.”
“The signing of Fernandes, you need four players like him. You need four of them to really compete and this is what is missing. You need to know the mentality of a new player.”
“I want players there who want to win the Champions League and win major trophies. This is what is needed,” concluded Saha.
