MU Rises After Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat

DBasia.news – Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire was pleased with United’s response after losing 1-6 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United are indeed at their lowest point after being defeated by Tottenham. Apart from the fact that the score was too conspicuous, the massacre also occurred at Old Trafford.
No wonder after that defeat, various criticisms were aimed at all elements of the club. Maguire is one of the most highlighted names.
But the defeat did not in fact ruin the Manchester United players mentally. On the other hand, their motivation to rise has doubled.
“After the defeat to Tottenham we were all devastated. We have only had three games this season but feel like we are in a big crisis,” Maguire said on the club’s official website.
“It’s a pretty strange feeling, but we don’t expect to lose at Old Trafford in the way we did.”
Maguire said the international break after the defeat to Tottenham was very useful to restore the mentality of Manchester United’s players that had declined. He felt there was new enthusiasm in the team after returning from state assignment.
Maguire and other Manchester United defense are aware of playing badly at the start of this season. Even though they had recorded the most clean sheets in the Europa League last season.
“I think since the international break we had a chance not to concede, as was the case last season. We were a solid unit then and we played from a solid base,” he added.
“It’s very important especially as a defender to make sure that we give the forwards every chance to go and win games.”
Evidently the Manchester United defense appeared more solid after the defeat of Tottenham. Conceding two goals in the last four games is certainly not a bad score.
“It’s still the beginning of this season and it will be a long journey. But we have to keep improving,” he concluded.
