MU uses the 3-4-2-1 formation, Sancho’s position is threatened

DBasia.news – Manchester United appeared with a 3-4-1-2 formation when they defeated Tottenham Hotspur in the 2021-2022 Premier League. But this scheme could threaten Jadon Sancho’s future at Old Trafford.
Manchester United won with a landslide score of 3-0 over The Lilywhites. The game of Harry Maguire and his team mates appeared more solid.
This match is very crucial for Solskjaer’s future. The manager responded by changing the formation from 4-2-3-1 to 3-4-1-2.
This decision was proved to be effective. Manchester United’s defense has become much more solid, while the front lines have also not lost their sharpness.
Solskjaer is believed to continue to use this scheme for the next few games. His position is still to be determined from the next two games against Atalanta and Manchester City.
But if that happens, a number of Manchester United players will suffer losses. One of them is Jadon Sancho.
With a 3-4-1-2 formation, Sancho’s role is not really needed. Manchester United will indeed focus more on attacking from the middle while occasionally relying on crosses from Luke Shaw and Aaron wan-Bissaka.
Former Manchester United player, Gary Neville, even predicted that Sancho could have the same fate as Donny van de Beek. Both have the potential to be expensive signings that stays on the bench.
“Sancho, if he’s not careful, he’ll end up exactly the same (with Van de Beek). He’s come to a club that looks really messy,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“There is no game organization and structure (clear). He must be sitting on that bench and thinking how will my career at Manchester United be?”
The condition experienced by Sancho is indeed ironic. Targeted for more than a year, now he seemed less needed.
But Sancho has appeared less convincing since moving to Old Trafford. He has not been able to record goals and assists in eleven games in all competitions.
