Napoli Have No Intention of Selling Kalidou Koulibaly
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus’ desire to bring in Kalidou Koulibaly has been halted. It turned out that Napoli had no intention of selling their flagship defender.
Koulibaly has emerged as one of Juventus’ main targets this summer. He is projected to be a replacement for Matthijs de Ligt who wishes to leave.
Juventus have reportedly communicated with Koulibaly’s agent, Fali Ramadani. However, this is only the initial stage of negotiations.
Juventus are reportedly ready to redeem Koulibaly for a fee of up to 30 million euros. The Bianconeri also offered him a wage of 6 million euros per season.
Koulibaly has not responded to Juventus’ offer. However, rumors of the Old Lady’s interest have reached the ears of Napoli’s top officials.
Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli insists he will not sell Koulibaly to Juventus. His party is even ready to offer a new contract for the Senegalese national player.
“There is no need to tell Koulibaly that we will not sell him to Juventus. For us, he is untouchable,” Giuntoli said, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.
“The (Napoli) president made him an offer you can hardly refuse. He really offered him a lot.”
Napoli’s seriousness to maintain Koulibaly is not a figment. The long-term contract and the equivalent salary offered by Juventus are ready to be offered.
In addition, Napoli also promised Koulibaly a managerial position in the future. This position can be filled after he retires.
Napoli’s insistence is certainly challenging for Juventus. But that doesn’t mean the opportunity to hijack Koulibaly is completely closed. Koulibaly has so far not responded to Napoli’s offer. However, his contract expires next year.
This condition has made Napoli be in a dilemma. If the defender refuses to extend the contract, Il Partenopei will certainly be forced to sell him this summer for a profit.
