Newcastle have more potential to sign Kieran Trippier than Man United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United’s ambition to obtain the services of Kieran Trippier would most likely fail. Atletico Madrid’s right-back is now actually approaching Newcastle United.

Manchester United have been targeting Trippier since last summer. The Red Devils need a commensurate competitor for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Trippier himself was very enthusiastic about welcoming Manchester United’s offer. He also wants to return to a career in England.

But at that time Manchester United’s efforts failed to materialize. The high price set by Atletico is the main cause.

Ahead of the opening of the winter transfer window, Trippier is again a bone of contention. Atletico are now planning to sell the player.

Atletico have special considerations regarding this decision. Los Rojiblancos thought now was the right time to sell Trippier at a high price.

Trippier’s contract expires in 2023. This will make his value decline at the end of the season.

Even so, Atletico seem to prefer to sell Trippier to Newcastle. The Magpies have indeed transformed into a new wealthy club after being acquired by the prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.

According to Sky Sports, Atletico are now waiting for an official offer from Newcastle. The value is predicted to be greater than 22 million euros.

This amount should not be challenging to Newcastle. Moreover, Eddie Howe’s team did have to overhaul their squad in order to avoid the relegation zone.

Manchester United themselves are quite passive. The change of manager from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to Ralf Rangnick has left interest in Trippier to be in question.

It is possible that Rangnick is not interested in Rangnick. Moreover, Diogo Dalot’s performance has progressed rapidly.
