Neymar thrilled if the 2022 World Cup was held in the middle of the season

DBasia.news – The schedule for the 2022 World Cup which will start in the middle of the European league season has caused a lot of criticism. However, Neymar thinks otherwise.
Traditionally, the World Cup is held in the summer after the end of club competition. The schedule is considered ideal as it does not conflict with the interests of club and country.
However, FIFA made a breakthrough after appointing Qatar as the host of the 2022 World Cup. The biggest football tournament will be held at the end of the year, exactly from November 20 to December 18.
The climate factor is the main reason for FIFA to implement this policy. Qatar’s weather does not allow the World Cup to take place in the summer.
However, many criticized the decision. The policy taken by FIFA has indeed made many competitions at the club level have to change the schedule for the 2022-2023 season.
Another criticism is related to the preparation of teams and players for this tournament which is considered not ideal. The majority of participating countries only have one week to prepare seriously for the 2022 World Cup.
Neymar did not agree with the criticism. He considered the condition of the players to be more ready to compete in the World Cup.
“The preparation for this World Cup is better than usual because it comes in the middle of the season, where you are at your best physically,” Neymar told Esquire.
“Players can be tired for tournaments at the end of the season and so I think the level of this World Cup will be very high.”
What Neymar said is true. Physically the players are in ideal condition because they are maintained in the midst of dense competition between clubs.
The opposite happened when the World Cup took place in the summer. At that time, the players were in a state of exhaustion after completing a full season.
A few players failed to perform optimally due to fatigue. Some of them actually suffered injuries that had a long-lasting effect on their careers.
“Losing is never easy in football, but in the World Cup it is worse. That’s why you have to prepare properly physically and mentally,” concluded Neymar.
