Neymar wanted to leave PSG and return to Barcelona

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Neymar admitted that he had thought about leaving Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. The Brazilian player wants to return to Barcelona.

Neymar caused an uproar in the 2017 summer transfer market by leaving Barcelona. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) redeemed his release clause of €222 million which broke the world transfer record.

PSG has made Neymar the main star in an effort to realize their ambition to win the Champions League. Les Parisiens consider him equal to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Neymar did answer that belief with maximum performance. Unfortunately, he still hasn’t been able to bring PSG to victory in Europe.

Interestingly, Neymar felt uncomfortable after strengthening PSG for two seasons. He then intends to return to Barcelona.

On the other hand, Barcelona also intends to repatriate Neymar. The Blaugrana’s performance has slowly declined after the loss of the former Santos player.

But Barcelona did not have enough funds to return to redeem Neymar. The Spanish giants have spent a lot of money purchasing stars like Antoine Griezmann. Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.

Neymar knows Barcelona’s difficulty in bringing him home. He also tried to ask PSG for help to realize his wish.

“He wants to leave PSG to return to Barcelona. I don’t want him to leave PSG, but who do I work for?” said Neymar senior as father and agent.

“We tried to leave PSG amicably but it didn’t work.”

Neymar had beaten the drums of war against PSG. He was absent from pre-season training in order to be allowed to return to Barcelona.

The relationship between the two parties finally improved. Neymar stayed at PSG and almost won the Champions League trophy if he lost to Bayern Munich in the final.

Neymar himself revealed his reasons for wanting to return to Barcelona. He felt uncomfortable because he was always the main figure highlighted in every failure PSG had.

“When I made the decision to leave PSG, it was not because of the fans or the club. But it was because I would feel better elsewhere,” Neymar stated.

“Even though I don’t want to continue (the contract), I still have to train and prepare. If I play badly, everyone will blame me.”

“If we lose, I am the first to take responsibility. I know the burden and responsibility I have,” he concluded.
