Neymar’s Birthday Event Is a Highlight

DBasia.news –   It’s no secret that Thomas Tuchel is not happy with Neymar’s birthday party. According to Tuchel, the party had an unfavorable influence on the Paris Saint-Germain team.

 Neymar will have its 28th birthday on Wednesday (5/2/2020). But the party was held at a luxury nightclub in Paris on Sunday (2/2/2020) or 24 hours after PSG won 5-0 over Montpellier.

Tuchel had said that Neymar’s birthday party broke the concentration of the players. Moreover, PSG will return to compete on Wednesday (5/2/2020) early morning Western Indonesian Time against Nantes.

Tuchel hopes that his players, especially those who come to Neymar’s birthday party, remain professional when it comes to practice and compete. However, Tuchel still regretted the party because it would be a public weapon to attack PSG.   

“Is this the best way to prepare for a match? No, of course,” Tuchel said as reported by AS. “Is this the worst thing that could have happened? No, but it’s unfortunate because we give people a chance to speak ill of us.”

“It’s unfortunate because the team has a very strong mindset and now we have to adapt, but not in a way I have to back up players because they are partying. No, it’s not like that,” he added.

During his time at PSG, Neymar was often the subject of discussion because of his lifestyle. The Brazilian footballer is considered to have a lifestyle that is more like a pop star than a soccer athlete.

Last year, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi had given his players an ultimatum. He requested that no player plays like a superstar.

Last summer, Neymar was also busy with media coverage because he was absent from pre-season training. He was called deliberately skipping because he was not comfortable at PSG.
