N’Golo Kante is Not Sure if Chelsea is the 2018-19 Europa League’s Champion Candidate

DBasia.news –  A shocking remark came out of the Chelsea midfielder’s mouth, N’Golo Kante. According to him, his team is not a strong candidate for the 2018-19 Europa League champions.

Chelsea passed the drama to qualify for the Europa League semi-finals. They overcame Slavia Prague with difficulty in the quarter-finals of the event.

Had a 3-0 lead, Chelsea actually raced to 3-3 by Slavia Prague. However, in the end, the Blues narrowly won 4-3 from their guests at Stamford Bridge.

Even so, N’Golo Kante is reluctant to label Chelsea with a favorite title. The French midfielder said the Europa League semi-finals could motivate his colleagues.

“In my opinion, Chelsea are not the favorite team to win the Europa League. We play good football now and can qualify for the final,” said N’Golo Kante.

“Chelsea have everything to advance to the final. However, once again, we are not favorites in the Europa League. It is very important for us to win the semi-final match.”

“In my opinion, it is important for Chelsea to be in the Europa League semifinals because it can be an additional motivation. This is our target,” N’Golo Kante continued.

If you can get rid of Eintracht Frankfurt, Chelsea still have to face a pretty heavy opponent. The Blues will meet the winner between Arsenal and Valencia.
