DBasia.news – The issue of player exchanges involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala was also commented on by former Juventus striker, Nicola Amoruso. According to him, Lukaku is better for Juventus than Dybala.
Amoruso is a former Juventus striker in the 1996-2002 period. He competed with top names such as Filippo Inzaghi, Alessandro Del Piero, and David Trezeguet at the time. However, Amoruso can still score 29 goals and won three Scudetto.
Comparing Lukaku and Dybala from the eyes of a former striker, Amoruso assessed Lukaku’s physical strength would be an advantage that makes him superior to Dybala. Lukaku can also perform better if he has established strong cooperation with Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He (Lukaku) is a player who has great strength, especially in Europe. It will be crucial for Lukaku to integrate with Ronaldo so that he can use it through physical movement and abilities,” Amoruso told Il Bianconero.
“He is the type of player who can make a difference quickly. If he has no problems adapting, he can be decisive in a short time. Above all, he adds what is lacking in Champions League matches.”
Amoruso believes Lukaku’s physical abilities could complement the missing puzzle piece in the Juventus squad to pursue the Champions League title. That is not owned by Dybala.
“Dybala is more technical, but Lukaku is clearly not lacking in that sector. Right, he combines good techniques with strong physique,” Amoruso added.
“On the other hand, Dybala, has more difficulty, especially in the Champions League, to maximize his own technical abilities because he lacks physical strength. I think this (the player exchange scheme) is a very reasonable reason from management,” he continued.
Reportedly, Dybala’s exchange process with Lukaku will involve money transfers and the potential departure of Mario Mandzukic, another Juventus striker, to Old Trafford.
