Not Real Madrid, Barcelona becomes David Alaba’s dream club

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness said that David Alaba’s dream was to play for Barcelona even though the player had joined Real Madrid.

Alaba left Bayern on a free transfer in the summer transfer window to join Real Madrid.

“Alaba once said to me, ‘My dream is to play for Barcelona one day’,” Hoeness said as quoted by Marca.

“So I asked him if he wanted to negotiate with a team that was going bankrupt.”

Bayern Munich will face Barcelona on Wednesday (15/9) WIB, in their opening match in the Champions League group stage.

“Bayern are favored as Barcelona were unable to be the best due to the sale of important players and their economic problems,” Hoeness said of the match.

Meanwhile, Alaba with his new club Real Madrid, will play their first match in the Champions League group stage on Thursday (16/9) am, WIB against Inter Milan.
