Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t doubt that Marcus Rashford could be a Manchester United legend

DBasia.news – Manchester United young forward, Marcus Rashford has everything it takes to become a legend at Old Trafford, says manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rashford is on track to record his best first-team season, having scored 12 goals in 22 games across all competitions in 2020/21, while yesterday’s 22 goals in 44 appearances.
His last two goals came on last Friday (18/12) am, to inspire the Red Devils to win 3-2 over Sheffield United, becoming the fifth win in their last six Premier League matches.
The 23 year old player has also won praise for what he does off the pitch by helping to alleviate food problems for children in England, and Ole believes his talent and human personality will make him a club legend.
“As humans, we have seen the real Marcus Rashford since he was a child and during his youth,” Ole told reporters ahead of Sunday’s match against Leeds United.
“You will always be influenced [by other factors] and your character is shaped through your family, the environment you work in, and where you grew up. You see Marcus really cares about people who are going through hard times or those who don’t have privileges like most people, or like him now.
“He knows what they are going through. What he has done is incredible, I have to admit it. Sometimes you think this will affect his football because he is a young player. I think he has taken this responsibility in a fantastic way and balances it well with football.
“He has a great team around him, his brothers and the people around him, so Marcus doesn’t do everything himself. He wants this team to be led by other people too so he can balance the two most important things in his life.
“Marcus is talented enough and grounded enough and excited enough to become a legend at this club.
“I must say that the statistics have shown its contribution. In and around the locker room, he is the real son of Man United.
“I’m thrilled with his contribution and he knows Man United as a whole. He has [this club’s] DNA.
“Of course, I try to take care of him, try to protect him. You never know in a footballer’s career whether you are lucky or not with injuries. He had a back injury last year and it is my job and the staff to make sure that we protect him. Because with his talent, he will always be the target of the opponent.
“Then the players and the opposing fans, of course they respect him. I think everyone has a lot of respect for him for what he has done. Several clubs, the response we got from them and what Marcus got from them was incredible.”
