DBasia.news – The wheels are turning so fast for Juventus midfielder, Weston McKennie. After becoming a mainstay last season, the United States player is now in danger of being sold.
McKennie was brought in by Juventus from FC Schalke last summer on loan. Not even one season has appeared, the Bianconeri dared to make their status permanent.
Not without reason Juventus took that decision. McKennie’s appearance was very prominent with a score of six goals and three assists from 46 matches.
However, McKennie’s future at Juventus became uncertain after Andrea Pirlo stepped down from the coaching chair. Massimiliano Allegri as a substitute has his own plans for his team’s midfield.
This was shown by the arrival of Manuel Locatelli. The Italian national team midfielder was brought in from Sassuolo for a transfer fee of 37.5 million euros.
With a fairly expensive price, locatelli will almost certainly become one of the mainstays in the Juventus midfield. The Old Lady was also thinking of reducing her midfielder stock which was more than adequate.
Previously, Aaron Ramsey’s position was the most threatened. But the Welsh midfielder’s slick appearance in pre-season made Allegri consider his position.
If that happened, McKennie would be the victim. According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are ready to listen to offers from other clubs for the horse-powered midfielder.
McKennie now has a tag of around 25 million euros. This price should not be difficult to meet a number of big European clubs who need a new midfielder.
